From October 19 to 21, 2018, the World VR Industry Conference was held in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. With the theme “VR Makes the World More Wonderful, Jiangxi Makes VR More Brilliant,” the event was co-hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Jiangxi Provincial People’s Government, inviting global leaders in the VR industry. Over 600 companies representing the highest level of AR/VR products and application solutions were invited to exhibit and discuss the development of the global virtual reality industry.
As an industry leader, Skyworth VR participated with its self-developed S8000 VR all-in-one device. The Skyworth S8000 supports 4K 120fps video playback and is the industry’s only VR all-in-one device capable of hardware decoding 8K video. In addition to 8K decoding, it features a 110-degree wide field of view and high wearing comfort. Visitors were invited to experience the surprises brought by 8K panoramic high-definition video. On-site attendees reported that the device has a moderate weight, evenly distributes head pressure without causing discomfort, and is suitable for prolonged use in home theater and educational scenarios when maintaining good posture. Accompanying the Skyworth S8000 was the first public display of the national-level VR documentary “True-Color China.” Produced by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and co-produced by China National Geographic Video, Shanghai LeWo Information Technology, and Oriental Dream Capital, the documentary showcases 50 of China’s most spectacular world-class landscapes, representing the pinnacle of VR documentary production in China. Through this approximately 9-minute 8K panoramic documentary, viewers can enjoy a VR visual feast captured with top-tier equipment, appreciating China’s beauty from a new perspective. The combination of this premium 8K content and Skyworth’s unique 8K hardware decoding technology resulted in a remarkably clear, smooth, and responsive experience with low latency in visual and auditory tracking, minimizing motion sickness. The playback was free of blurring and stuttering, with sharp and detailed imagery that revealed every character trait. Near-field stereo sound enhanced the immersive experience, making viewers feel as if they were truly present. Many expressed that watching documentaries in VR was, akin to traveling across China in 10 minutes—an experience unimaginable without firsthand participation.According to user feedback,
